IAGR press information

We welcome media attendance at the IAGR annual conference.

Members of the press may attend the conference sessions of the IAGR 2018 Copenhagen Conference free-of-charge. 

Who can be issued a press pass?

  • a professional reporter
  • editor
  • writer
  • news photographer
  • producer or
  • online editor.

What sort of organization must I work for?

  • a publication
  • news service
  • broadcast outlet or news site that is regularly issued and published primary for the dissemination of news

Your professional interest should be gambling, gaming, e-sports or regulation.

Press passes will not be issued to those representing the sales or marketing areas of a publication.

Is the number of press passes limited?

The number of press credentials for each media outlet is limited.

Are press passes transferable?

Press passes are not transferable.

Press must be registered in advance and no later than one week before the start of the annual conference. Those who are not registered and who seek admission to the conference will only be admitted at the discretion of the conference organisers.

What does a press pass allow me access to?

Press passes allow access to:

Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 of the IAGR program, including luncheon but excluding any events designated as ‘IAGR members only’, which includes seminars/events run by partner organisations on Day 4.

Press passes do not allow access to any social events such as city tours/evening dinners/receptions, which are designated for IAGR members only.

How do I arrange a press pass?

Please contact media at iagr dot org to request a press pass providing the following information:

  • Name and address of organization
  • Masthead from a current issue of an industry-related publication listing you as an editorial contributor
  • An industry-related article published with the past six months with your byline
  • Press photo ID
  • Business card from your media outlet reflecting your editorial role
  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Twitter handle
  • Dates of planned attendance at Conference

What restrictions are there on video, photography, speaker interviews, etc.?

Advanced permission is required for news cameras and radio broadcast onsite during IAGR conferences, and recordings of all or portions of conferences without prior approval from IAGR are prohibited.

Video of general sessions is prohibited.

Please check with media at iagr dot org for any restrictions on photography.

What do I do once I arrive at the conference site?

All members of the media must pick up their own press badges at the registration desk. A photo ID is required.  You should ask to be introduced to the IAGR communications lead.

Registered media are required to wear media badges at all times during the meeting.
