Clovis Metcalfe is a veteran banker who has served as Managing Director of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank (Jamaica) Limited. In addition to his chairmanship of the boards of Jamaica’s gambling commissions, he currently serves on the boards of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank Securities Company (Jamaica) Limited, Holy Childhood High School and the St. Patrick Foundation.
As Chairman of the Jamaica Racing Commission, he is also a member of the Projects Management Committee tasked with the responsibility to monitor the divestment agreement between the Government of Jamaica and the promoters of the Caymanas Race Track.
In 2014, the Government of Jamaica conferred Mr. Metcalfe with Jamaica’s national honour - The Order of Distinction, Officer Class, for outstanding services to the Public Service and Banking.
In 2013 Mr. Metcalfe was the recipient of the 'Monsignor Gladstone Wilson Award' from The St. George’s College Old Boys Association in recognition of the outstanding contribution to his alma mater, dedicated service to the Old Boys Association and excellence in the field of International Banking and Community Service. Most recently, in 2018 he was inducted into the St. George's College Hall of Fame as an influential and internationally recognized corporate banker extraordinaire, committed to community spirit and the well-rounded development of St. George’s College.
