Can the use of big data prevent problem gambling?

One of the strengths of the Norwegian regulation is registered play for a large amount of the market, both online and land based. This allows the regulator to monitor and collect data from all players and analyse gambling patterns and gambling behaviour. Big data enables us to take targeted action.

This presentation will explore how big data use in Norway is helping to monitor, limit and prevent problem gambling on several levels, and how this knowledge could be applied worldwide.
