Senior Adviser, The Norwegian Gaming Authority
Liv Røthe holds a bachelor's degree in economics and management and has an accredited certificate as Quality Lead Auditor.
She has worked with gambling issues since 2001. Her special area is second-party audits of game providers, improvement work related to gambling problems and regulation of the Norwegian gambling market in general.
One of the strengths of the Norwegian regulation is registered play for a large amount of the market, both online and land based. This allows the regulator to monitor and collect data from all players and analyse gambling patterns and gambling behaviour. Big data enables us to take targeted action.
This presentation will explore how big data use in Norway is helping to monitor, limit and prevent problem gambling on several levels, and how this knowledge could be applied worldwide.
