International Machine Gaming Technical Standards

The IAGR Technical Standards Sub-committee (TSC) has identified and established a common set of aims and principles for the development of international technical standards for gaming equipment. Based on these aims and principles, the TSC has compiled technical standards for a list of gaming equipment to ensure that common regulatory objectives of IAGR members are met.

Approaches stipulated in the international technical standards serve to propose good practices in key areas of regulating the gaming equipment that any jurisdiction can incorporate should it choose to do so. They are not intended to be binding for regulating the gaming equipment since each jurisdiction may have its unique regulations.

The first International Technical Standards for Electronic Gaming Machines will be promulgated during the IAGR Conference 2014 in Philadelphia. This document is also a collective result of active participation of industry stakeholders via the TSC’s industry consultation process. We thank all our industry stakeholders for their valuable input and feedback.
